Recently one of my dearest friends from childhood started to develop an artistic personality and also an interest in drawing shapes. She started with rough shapes of trees, objects in her kitchen and then moved into animales.
Yes, you guessed it, she used her cat as a model.
I decided for her birthday I would surprise her with a nice detail, I went online I got from amazon one of this dolls you can change into any pose.
And of course I bought a course from Udemy for her, “How to Draw Heads — Step by Step — From Any Angle”
Then something happened, since Udemy often has some nice discounts, I look into a course for myself, recently I’m interested in Unity 3D and development of video games, so I also went for one of the courses on this subject.
At this point I decided to do a simple review of these courses, kinda to let other people know how good or bad these courses are and if they are worth your money, so hang on continue reading and I will share some of my friends comments about her birthday present.
“This course is a great way to learn how to draw heads at any angle. It has a step-by-step easy to follow instructions and directions. The course will initially explain the structure of the head, analyzing the features of the human skull, dividing the head into thirds and mapping the figure of the face. “
“The students will learn how to draw the head from different sides and different angles and how to adjust them. The course also demonstrated the system of Andrew Loomis approach to constructing the human head. They will learn how to use geometric configurations in dividing the head and marking out the main division to create a skull. It will also teach how to determine the browline and centerline based on the direction the person is looking. It is a great help to practice the shape and proportions of the skull.”
“The course also includes the guidelines and procedures of the proper way to draw the eyes, nose, mouth and even hairstyles. It goes from male to female and young to old. There is also a lesson for making a caricature and facial distortion which makes it very interesting and exciting to learn. “
“Artist can learn a lot from this course as it gives a wide variety of tips and technique in creating the human head. It has a strong fundamental of illustrating male and female characters in different kind of viewpoints. This will surely enhance their drawing skills and will give them the motivation to create different of character designs.”
Hopefully, it will help you on your quest to express all your artistic emotions, and soon I’m writing more reviews of the courses I’m taking at the moment.
